The LEGO Americana Roadshow

It was a lot of fun walking through Crossgates Mall to view the LEGO builds that were on display. There were a ton of neat building techniques put to use to create varying shapes and textures.

I snagged pics of elements that I wanted to call out, and the overall builds that caught my attention. I think the Supreme Court was my favorite building. I loved the lettering above the entrances, and there were great piece uses recreating that fine detail carved into the real building. I especially loved the croissant pieces used along the sides of the building.

The immense scale of the Capitol was captivating as well. I feel like I could have easily spent an hour snapping macro shots of minor details if it wasn’t so crowded. It was difficult showing respect to others that wanted to experience the show and balance my own shots. Such is life…
